Lazy Mike: Exhibition

Bomse: Wild Wild World

Wild Wild World is artists reflection on a theme of the western genre. The artists turn to the theme of confrontation between cowboys and Indians, where two drastically different cultures and approaches to life collide.

Bomse crew exists for more than 10 years and belongs to the new wave of Nizhniy Novgorod street artists. At the moment there are 8 members, some of them actively work in the city space, and others are engaged in studio work. The authors have changed the course of events in the street culture of Nizhny Novgorod, acting as a counterculture to the local context and replacing the already established groups of the city and their rules of drawing in the street.

Confiscation of territories and subjugation of nature by men - these are all staple themes explored by the Western genre. However, this is also the context in which graffiti artists exist today. The street scene in which the artists were formed is harsh and has rules similar to the territorial divisions of reservations and surrounding waters between the United States and Native Americans.
