Blazar young art fair

At Blazar Young Art fair 2021 Lazy Mike presented Sasha Yazov's personal project "99999 likes". We exist in a world where every action we take must have a viewer in order to become a reality. "99999 likes" is an ironic title that epitomizes the hypertrophied need for approval and recognition of digital success. In the project "99999 likes" Sasha Yazov shows the relationship between virtuality and the kitsch aesthetics of Instagram and Tumblr with its attributes: luxurious life, eye-pleasing images and deliberate carelessness. "9999999 likes" are works created from in-game photos. The artist evaluates his painting as virtual realism, depriving the photos of the glitch effects and bugs inherent in the physics of computer games. The artist uses hyperrealism in the context of Russian contemporary art and a radical narrative method that leaves the effect of the non-man-made nature of the work's creation.
